The DGCI has approved two vaccines to prevent Covid-19 in India:
COVAXIN: India’s first COVID-19 vaccine, developed in cooperation with the Indian Council of Medical Research.
Covishield: Developed by the University of Oxford in partnership with AstraZeneca and manufactured for Indian citizens by Serum Institute of India.
Both vaccines are now being mainly provided to hospitals and frontline staff, individuals above the age of 50, and high-risk patients. Obtaining a Covid-19 vaccine is already at the top of everyone’s priority list.
It is natural for most of us to have concerns about the procedure, including what to expect before, during, and after the Covid-19 vaccination. Here’s what you need to do:
Fill in your name, age, gender, and upload a photo ID document (Aadhar Card, Voter card, Driver’s License, PAN Card, Passport, or a Pension Document with a photograph).
Select a date and a vaccination place.
You will get an acknowledgment on the registered mobile number.
For senior citizens, there are other choices.
Option 1: They can enrol at a COVID vaccine centre.
Option 2: They can contact 1507 to get the same information.
Need for the Covid-19 vaccine
Although getting the Covid-19 vaccine is completely optional, it is highly recommended because it helps to stop the spread of infection. Vaccination is critical for your health as well as the health of your loved ones, including families, acquaintances, colleagues, co-workers, and everyone else with whom you come into physical contact.
Furthermore, a Covid-19 recovering person should not be afraid to get the vaccine because it is highly prescribed for anyone, regardless of previous illnesses, rehabilitation, or virus background.
After-effects of covid-19 vaccination
Unless they have a contraindication against some kind of vaccination, all vaccinations are considered healthy for people with a history of or who are undergoing medical procedures. Have an appointment with a specialist, and make sure to tell them of any medical problems you might have. Before receiving the vaccine, notify the doctor of any reactions you have of any drugs or medical treatments you’ve had or are having.
After covid-19 vaccination, you may face some of the following issues:
Fever (mild)
Headache
Tiredness
Nausea and dizziness
Discomfort and pain
Swelling in the arm
Mild side effects may not necessitate hospitalization. However, if you have serious side effects, such as severe allergic responses, an unusual infection, seizures, or any other unforeseen side effects, you may need to be admitted. If you notice any of these symptoms, you should contact your doctor right away so that they can take action.
Covid-19 vaccines are safe, and significant side effects are rare, so getting vaccinated and protecting yourself against the coronavirus is a good idea. Although, Covid-19 vaccination service is available to citizens but wearing a mask in public, maintaining social distance, following hand hygiene recommendations, respiratory hygiene, and other ways of preventing the spread of Covid-19 infection are still relevant.
Isn’t it scary to hear of a fungus infection? Any rational person will be terrified by the word fungus, particularly in the context of the ear. To get a deeper understanding of the condition, let us first describe a fungal infection in the ear. Otomycosis is the medicinal term for a fungal ear infection that induces itching, parched skin, and foul odour through the ear canal.
Causes
Earwax prevents our ear from getting into contact with the fungus, but if this wax is reduced in some way, such as by splashing water into our ear canal or by overusing earbuds, the fungus will reach our ear and cause infection. Aspergillus and Candida are the most common fungi that cause Otomycosis. Otomycosis is more prevalent in hot climates, and that is where the fungi live. Otomycosis is more prevalent in people who swim in dirty water. Other than that, individuals with compromised immune systems, an infected ear, or a chronic skin condition are at risk of fungus infection.
Signs and Symptoms
An ear infection caused by fungi induces a lot of pain and ear discharge. As a result, it’s usually a good idea to see a doctor as soon as signs appear rather than ignoring them and hoping the discomfort will go away.
Ear drops obtained from a pharmacy will alleviate inflammation but do not entirely heal the infection. If you experience any of the following signs, see an ENT expert as soon as possible:
Pain or discomfort in the ear canal.
Dry or parched ear.
Redness in the outer ear.
Fluid discharge from the ears
Hearing failure.
A physical test is performed using an apparatus called an otoscope to see through the ear and ear canal to detect the infection. The doctor can take samples of the fluids in your ear to decide if you have a bacterial or fungal infection. A fungal ear infection may be managed in a variety of forms by a doctor. They can provide a comprehensive washing, as well as ear drops or oral medications.
Cleaning: The doctor will need to disinfect the ear thoroughly. For this reason, a variety of resources are available. This is done to remove flaky skin and build-up material, allowing the drug to function more effectively.
The next move is to dry the ear to prevent fungal growth fully. It is important to remember that using cotton swabs to clean one’s ear will worsen the infection.
Ear drops: Burow’s Remedy, which extracts muck from your ear while still slowing the rate of inflammation, can be recommended by your doctor.
Medications are taken orally: When fungal infections, such as Aspergillus, become resistant to ear drops, doctors can prescribe oral medication. Itraconazole (Sporanox) is a drug used to cure certain diseases, but it causes complications in patients who have liver disease.
The doctor can run additional tests to figure out the cause of the infection and clean your ear with specialized tools, including suction pumps.
Never neglect the ear infection and seek medical care as quickly as possible to ensure that it doesn’t escalate and cause further complications.
Gynaecological cancers are one of the most common cancer-related deaths in women around the world. Thousands of women are diagnosed with gynaecological cancers each year, so it’s important to understand the different types of gynaecological cancers.
Gynecological cancer treatment is most successful when it is discovered early. It is important to recognize the warning signs that drugs are more successful when cancer is discovered at an early stage.
How are gynaecological cancers caused?
Gynaecological cancers are caused by the unchecked development and spread of irregular cells in the female reproductive organs like the ovaries, cervix, uterus, vagina, fallopian tubes, and vulva. These cancers can be caused due to different reasons. Oncogenes and cancer suppressor genes are two types of genes that stimulate cancer development, according to medical studies. HPV or Human Papillomavirus is responsible for causing such cancer.
What are the reasons that put you at risk?
Obesity: Fat tissues release higher levels of oestrogen when they are not held at a healthy weight, particularly after menopause, which raises the risk.
Family history: Positive family history includes cervical cancer, fallopian tube cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, or premenopausal breast cancer in the family, as well as a personal history of premenopausal breast cancer.
Erratic way of living: A way of life that is inconsistent.
Tobacco consumption: Tobacco consumption depletes the immune system.
Poor personal and Genital Hygiene: This will arise as a result of poor personal and genital hygiene.
Age: Women above the age of 50 are at a greater risk.
What are the signs and symptoms?
The majority of women may not show any symptoms, although these may include:
Vague abdominal bloating
Pelvic heaviness
Abdominal distention
Abnormal vaginal bleeding
Post-menopausal bleeding
Methods for the treatment of gynaecological cancers
Tissue biopsy or tumour markers like CA 125 are expected to validate the diagnosis. To rule out the spread of cancer to other distant organs of the body, ultrasonography of the abdomen and pelvis with Doppler, X-rays, and a whole-body PET scan may be needed. Chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical treatments are used to treat gynaecological cancers.
The type and level of cancer affect the treatment choices. While the cancer is already in its early stages, the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, underlying lymph nodes, omental, and other peritoneal deposits can all be extracted.
How will gynaecological tumours be prevented?
Gynecologic cancer prevention can be done by living a safe lifestyle. The following steps will assist in the treatment of gynaecological cancers:
Cancer screenings are performed on an annual basis.
USG belly and pelvis PAP smear HPV DNA
Exercise daily
Consume a nutritious and well-balanced diet.
Don’t smoke and keep away from second-hand smoke.
Maintain a balanced body mass index (BMI).
Vaccination against HPV.
Being diagnosed with cancer, as well as the recovery that follows, maybe a very trying time. Getting the help of families, colleagues, healthcare providers, and those who have been through anything similar will be immensely helpful during this period. You will get moral support by learning about the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of gynaecological cancers. Every woman should be aware of gynaecological cancer’s signs and symptoms.

One of the most-awaited seasons of the whole year in India is the monsoon and winter seasons. After a hot summer, people just wanted to enjoy the cool weather during the rains and cold winter nights. As much as adults enjoy these seasons, the seasonal changes are not very good for small babies, toddlers, and young children.
Though cold weather sets a good mood, it also brings in a lot of mosquitoes and infections. So, protecting the babies and young children from infections becomes the mothers’ priority during the cold season. It is always better to take precautions and safeguard your kids. You can meet with the paediatrician or a specialist in Paediatric surgery in Hyderabad for the safer side, consult with them, and take the necessary precautions as they might have complete knowledge about it.
Some of the tips to follow to protect your children from changing weather are:
Keep them hydrated
Young children, toddlers, and babies tend to drink much less water than they are supposed to drink. So, make sure they drink enough water and keep themselves hydrated. Also, make sure to give purified warm water to children. For young babies, feeding the babies with breast milk is enough to keep them hydrated.
Take Vitamin C and Fibres in your diet
Vitamin C is an excellent immunity booster, so make sure to give the young children Vitamin c in the form of citrus juices. Also, make sure to add a lot of fibres to the diet, which helps in clearing the digestive system and help in the proper functioning of GALT, which fights against pathogens.
Physical activities
Ensure that the child has enough physical activities. It’s natural for a mother to keep the child indoors during the seasonal changes. But making sure the child is active at least 30 minutes a day and goes outdoors is important as it helps the kid accommodate the change and boosts the immunity.
Don’t skip immunization
Vaccines are very important for babies and children as they protect them from viruses and pathogens by boosting immunity. So, make sure you follow the immunization schedule and get all the vaccines on time.
Dress for the weather
Dress your babies and children based on the weather. During the cold and rainy season, have layers of clothing or something woollen to keep them warm.
Follow good hygiene
It is important to make sure that both you and your child follow good hygiene practices. Teach them to wash their hands when they go out and come home and before eating. Teach them to clean the space around them and to keep them neat all the time. If you have babies at home, clean and mope the house every day.
Despite all these measures, if you think that your child’s immunity is still weak, take them to a paediatrician or a neonatal specialist to consult with them. There are many hospitals in neonatal care and neonatal surgery in Hyderabad that provide the best treatment to babies and children.
It has almost been a year that the world has been hit by Covid, and that has made our entire activities totally doubtful. There are still some parts of the country that are undergoing a complete lockdown and have hampered many of our activities. One is still restricted to completely move out freely. Masks have become a permanent possession for us, and one is required to always carry them. One is imposed with a huge fine if they are found without the same. People are supposed to maintain a proper social distance from each other.
Everyone is required to maintain a proper distance from each other at any public place and wear masks and disposable gloves at all times. One should sanitize their hands directly after touching public equipment or a thing because that has attracted the touch of a lot of people. This is called the new normal, and we all are still struggling in dealing with the same.
The main concern of this problem was that it had different effects on different people. Some people were majorly affected by it to such an extent that it led to their death; others were mildly affected by it. The invention of medicine for the same has been quite an extensive challenge for all the scientists and doctors all over the world. Everybody was involved in a great amount of rigorous research, but a lot of times, their efforts were failing. They incorporated a test on humans or animals, but they did not achieve much success initially. This was the hardest time for them. The symptoms of this disease were just mild cold or fever, which is very ordinary on a daily basis, but this virus that is called the coronavirus, seems to house the body of individuals and has a very long-lasting effect on them.
There were many efforts that are still being made by the top institutions in the country for immunizations. The vaccine has been developed in the country by two major pharmaceutical companies that are in function and in availability. This was one of the great milestones that were achieved by the country at the beginning of the year, and this gave a ray of hope to the audience of the country. But the invention of the vaccine does not mean that the world has gotten rid of this deadly disease. People are still supposed to follow all the methods of sanitary and maintain a distance from each other. There is a prioritization that is required for the purpose of vaccination of people. It is considered very important to vaccinate these individuals because they did not leave a stone unturned to put their lives at risk and serve the country even when the disease just started. They can be enlisted as follows: –
Doctors
Policemen
All frontline workers
A pregnant lady and her child
So, these vaccinations during covid are very significant because these individuals deserve every bit of it.
The health of the person is extremely important, and it comes above everything. The hospital’s hygiene conditions are very important because if it will not be good enough in accordance with the standards of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitization. If the cleanliness of the hospital is not good enough, it will lead to the spread of more diseases, and people will catch that easily. Now that there is a spread of coronavirus, it is another obstacle to be dealt with above all the other viruses. There are many chances that one has heard where the baby, even before that is born, suffers from this disease, and at that point, the immunity of the child is not even build up properly. Had his immunity been good enough, they are able to survive this as coronavirus that is also known as COVID, is the matter of strong immunity of the human body.
LDR birthing suites inHyderabad are housed in many places and hospitals. The full form of LDR is Labour, Delivery, and Recovery Room. This room can be put to versatile uses and is used for the purpose of incorporating the delivery of an unborn child. This place’s hygiene levels are high enough because the unborn child is very sensitive to the foreign environment. They provide full services to the unborn child’s mother and full assistance at all hours of the day. There are many fewer persons other than that of the doctor that are allowed in the LDR room, the reason being that this can lead to a certain level of danger to the unborn child. The mother and her partner are allowed in the labour delivery room. There can also be one more person in addition to them.
But it is also considered for the fact that the lesser the number of people at the time of the surgery, the better it is for the family. It is better for the mother and the baby to give birth to the unborn child in the birthing centres rather than the hospitals because birthing centres specialize in that department. While on the other hand, hospitals are very multipurpose and there are all sorts of treatments and patients from different classes making a visit there. There should be proper arrangements that should be made in the labour delivery and recovery rooms by the birthing centre owners so that there is no slightest inconvenience faced by the mother and the child or even the family. There are certain things that an LDR Room must possess, which are as follows: –
First of all, it should maintain high levels of hygiene and should be properly sanitized.
There should be a comfortable hospital bed for the mother
There should be a baby cot for the baby
If important and possible, there should include seating for the attendant too
All sorts of electrical equipment that are instrumental to the surgery should also be present at all means

The NICU is a neonatal intensive care unit. A high-tech nursery specifically built for premature infants. NICU has medically trained persons who need stringent medical treatment to care for preemies and other new-borns. In order to keep the babies as safe as possible, NICUs provide trained doctors cum nurses, and premature and sick infant care equipment.
The NICU facility is typically not very bright, and to keep the new-born babies happy, it is dim and dark as noise and illumination can overwhelm babies in the NICU. To give your new-borns the best healthcare, there are several paediatric intensive care units in Hyderabad.
There may be the following facilities, depending on the babies’ medical care,
Ventilators that appropriately support the new-born Core.
Monitors that monitor the heart rate and oxygen levels of their blood.
Beds that give a cooling effect body to avoid brain injury in infants who have had a birth asphyxia a birth.
IV lines provide the baby with the requisite fluids along with the medicines that move through the veins.
All this technology and equipment make the baby happy and comfortable. It watches them and let the medical staff know when intervention is needed for the infants.
